Crocodylus· Peaked #49
Created by high school friends Josh Williams and Stephen Sacco, Crocodylus are a Sydney-based Garage Punk quintet who expound their brand of frenetic but intricate music that draws heavily on their personal and instrumental dynamics, leading to their sweaty and exhilarating live shows. These performances have won over audiences from backyards in their hometown on Sydney’s Northern Beaches to stages all over Europe and the UK. After a slew of EPs with third member Mikel Salvador Jara on drums, they further cemented a place in Sydney’s rock scene. The group took the idleness of the pandemic to focus on delivering their debut LP, Muscle Memory. The larger scope of the record, as well as the musical evolution of the three friends, precipitated the expansion of the lineup to include former housemate and friend Nick Meadows on keys, percussion, and saxophone, as well as longtime producer Jake Voroshine on bass guitar. With the new lineup solidified, the group moved onto their next era. Their sophomore album 'Limbo, Please Be Good To Me' has just dropped, featuring new track 'Hope'.
