Acclaimed Australian Alt-country artist Hazel & The Thief (singer-songwriter Heidi Luckhurst) releases a brand-new single, "It's Where I Belong". A soaring, slightly bluegrass-infused country track, "It's Where I Belong" is a heartfelt love letter to the vast Australian landscape and the enduring spirit of mateship. With highly descriptive, visual lyrics that take the listener on a vivid journey across the country, the track is destined to become an Aussie anthem. It is the ultimate road trip song, complete with a rousing sing-a-long section near the bridge designed to bring people together. Written by Heidi Luckhurst and produced by Damian Cafarella, the single features the incredible Stirling Gill-Chambers on fiddle. Stirling Gill-Chambers, one of "Hazel’s Thieves," is a cornerstone of the Hazel & The Thief live experience, regularly performing in the project's full band, duo, and trio shows. His dynamic fiddle playing elevates the track’s uplifting, bluegrass-leaning energy. Whenever she hasn't been working within the music industry, Luckhurst has dedicated every spare moment to exploring Australia and connecting with community. The authenticity of "It's Where I Belong" is rooted in this deep, firsthand connection to the land. Fittingly, the cover artwork for the single features a striking image taken by Luckhurst while exploring the rugged Blackdown Tablelands, just inland near Dingo and Bluff in Central Queensland.
