About the Artist
Jamie Lamont is a Gold Coast-based Australian soul-pop artist carving her own lane with powerhouse vocals, infectious grooves and heartfelt storytelling. Inspired by artists like RAYE, Chaka Khan, and Olivia Dean, her music blends the nostalgia of 70s funk and soul with contemporary pop, exploring the realities of growing up, finding self-confidence, navigating relationships and discovering her place in the world. Jamie first reached national audiences as a Top 21 finalist on Australian Idol, earning praise from Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark, Marcia Hines and international soul legend Amii Stewart. She has since performed at Blues on Broadbeach, on a lineup alongside Jimmy Barnes and The Cruel Sea, and supported iconic Australian band Killing Heidi. Now in her early twenties, Jamie is releasing her debut album one song at a time, documenting a deeply personal coming-of-age journey through her original music. Honest, soulful and full of groove, Jamie is on a mission to bring the spirit of soul music to a new generation of listeners.
