Fresh off selling out headline shows in both Melbourne and Sydney and backed by the viral success of her breakout single ‘Gold’, Melbourne based artist Lara Buchanan returns with new single ‘Only Once.’ Says Lara of the single; “’Only Once’ is a song that reflects on a relationship where the love felt very real only to realise once it was over that you had only been told you were the love of their life only once. It is a journey through the beginning of the relationship to the very disappointing conclusion.” Lara will be heading to Brisbane in September to showcase at Bigsound and will be performing next week at Live Nation’s Ones To Watch event in Melbourne. ‘Gold’ connected with audiences even before release earlier this year with over 12k pre-saves. Upon release the track was widely successful on TikTok and was added to Spotify’s US-based playlist ‘teen beats’ alongside only two other Australians Tame Impala and The Kid Laroi. To support the single Lara announced her debut headline shows on the East Coast, with Sydney and Melbourne selling out, and she supported Aleksiah. The track saw her sign to Unified Artist Management and Community Music, home to Ocean Alley, Teen Jesus and Jean Teasers, The Rions and more. Lara Buchanan makes music for late-night drives and quiet reckonings. The emerging singer-songwriter blends sharp rock edges with anthemic pop hooks, crafting a soundscape as vivid as it is raw.
