About the Artist
Milenka Jacobs is a 12-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Agnes Water, Queensland, known for her raw, emotional vocal style. Her heartfelt pop blends emotional storytelling, melodic hooks, and expressive vocals, influenced by Bishop Briggs, Fink, Alex Serra, and Raye. “Hurting” was inspired by a friendship that went through challenges and misunderstandings, reflecting the emotions of feeling hurt, standing firm, and learning from difficult experiences. The track won a songwriting competition run by Phonograph Productions, was produced by Andy Scott, and mastered by William Bowden. Vocals are completely natural with no autotune. Hurting will be officially released mid-May 2026 via DistroKid. In the meantime, the track is available to listen to on Triple J Unearthed, where fans are welcome to stream, comment, and share their thoughts — Milenka is eager to hear public feedback.
