Shitzulover07
Sydney dance-pop instigator Shitzulover07 (she/her) returns with ‘EDIBLE BIRTHDAY CAKE’, via Too Lost. Landing on her birthday 3 July, not as a gimmick, but as a clean line in the sand. New era, same appetite. The single follows her debut album ‘TILL DEATH DO US PART’, a 24-track release that cemented her world-building and club-floor instincts. With little downtime, Shitzulover07 has been exploring her sound and visuals, shaping what comes next. ‘EDIBLE BIRTHDAY CAKE’ is the first taste of this next chapter, a track that treats celebration like a coping mechanism and a power move at the same time. “EDIBLE BIRTHDAY CAKE feels like a natural evolution of my sound while also being one of my more genre-experimental releases,” she says. “At its core, it still has the strong pop songwriting with my classic double entendres and catchy hooks that have always been important to me, but this time I wanted to push things further sonically. The track blends electro-pop with trap-inspired production and builds into a more chaotic, chopped-up outro that captures the energy of a night spiralling into a blackout.” Lyrically, the track moves through partying, desire, and excess, with the darker edge left intact. It is a birthday anthem with grit – fun on the surface and a darker pulse underneath. “Releasing it on my birthday felt fitting because it’s literally a birthday anthem, fun, excessive and a little bit unhinged,” she adds. With the release of ‘EDIBLE BIRTHDAY CAKE’ Shitzulover07 also announces her upcoming EP that expands her club-built world into something more volatile and cinematic. The project explores nightlife, excess, desire, obsession, and escapism, with each track approaching that world from a different angle. So while listeners are still hooked on ‘TILL DEATH DO US PART’, Shitzulover07 is giving them another present to keep them going. “A lot of the songs on the forthcoming EP are inspired by the characters and personas people create or adopt when they’re chasing a good time, whether that’s in clubs, relationships, online or in their own fantasies.” With her debut album behind her and a new EP on the horizon, Shitzulover07 is doubling down on instinct. No soft launch, no polite entry. Just a track built for the moment the night tips over.
