About the Artist

Bio: I'm Summer Rosee, a 14-year-old singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I've been writing songs since I was very young and storytelling has always been a huge part of who I am. Alongside music, I also love acting and screenwriting, and I enjoy creating stories that connect with people emotionally. My music sits somewhere between indie pop and alternative pop, and I'm still discovering and developing my own sound with every release. I love writing songs about real emotions, relationships and experiences that people can relate to. So far I've released four original singles and I'm excited to keep growing as an artist and sharing my music with new audiences. Song Info: Closed Chapters is a song about the moment you realise a relationship is ending, even though nobody has actually said the words out loud. I wanted to capture the feeling of standing in the same room as someone you care about but feeling emotionally disconnected from them. The song was inspired by the idea that two people can seem fine on the outside while quietly drifting apart. It explores heartbreak, confusion and acceptance, and features an English-Spanish ending that reflects the feeling of speaking different emotional languages. I wanted the song to feel honest, reflective and cinematic. I recorded this song on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
