About the Artist

At just 18, Rockquest winner Emerson is one of Aotearoa’s freshest alt-pop voices. Her genre-blending music is honest, deeply personal, and designed to have you singing along by the first chorus. Raised on musical theatre stages and competitive dance floors, she turned her focus to songwriting at 14, spending the years since moving through indie bands before launching her solo project, backed by Liam Beasley (guitar) and Elliott Borland (drums).
