Just Gus is an Ipswich, Queensland-based rock artist making music for people who feel too much, think too much, and occasionally make questionable decisions about it. Blending catchy hooks, sharp lyricism and a healthy dose of humour, Just Gus turns deeply personal experiences into energetic, relatable rock songs. His music explores love, anxiety, identity, vulnerability and the absurdity of everyday life — often finding the funny side of things that probably weren't funny at the time. Influenced by artists including The Wombats, Lime Cordiale and Avril Lavigne, Just Gus brings a playful, theatrical energy to his music and live performances. His debut single, Sock Song, transformed his lifelong habit of wearing odd socks into an upbeat celebration of individuality and being unapologetically yourself. His follow-up single, YOU CAN'T PARK THERE, takes a more vulnerable turn, exploring anxious attachment and the experience of falling in love with someone who doesn't feel the same way. The track is part of his upcoming debut EP, I'm Having a Great Time, due later in 2026.
