With support and airplay from UK tastemaker Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and some early spins on Canadian radio, Sleeping Wave’s debut single is out now on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp. Operating across a 10,000-mile gap between Australia and Scotland, the duo created the track by bouncing files between Melbourne and Edinburgh. Simon (vocals/piano) tracked his vox and piano in Scotland, Miles (guitars/production) built and recorded the musical foundation in Australia, and the final project was mixed and mastered back in Edinburgh by Fin Jackson Audio. Lyric-wise, the song is a crisp charge through a lost relationship that keeps its hooks in. The result is "Cavalry"—a catchy alt-rock number with gritty shades of Americana.
